Rod Jellema (1927 - 2018) was an American poet, teacher, and translator. In 1956 Jellema began teaching introductory literature and composition courses at the University of Maryland, where he now is Professor Emeritus of English.[1][2]
During spring 1966, Jellema corresponded with J.R.R. Tolkien concerning the controversy surrounding W.H. Auden's intended book on Tolkien (see letter Letter to Rod Jellema).[3]
