Priority of publication[edit source]

I made a lot of additions to the bibliography, mainly revised translations, notably in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003, but I actually do not now the order of publication of the works within those years. Anyone who does please feel free to improve the order, please giving sources (on page or here)

Also, to add to the picture of how early the Dutch translations came, the first translations of The Silmarillion were Danish, Dutch, French, German and Italian, all in 1978; the first translations of Unfinished Tales were Dutch and Italian, both in 1981; the first translations of The Letters of Father Christmas were Dutch, Japanese and Swedish, all in 1976; and the first translations of Carpenter's Biography were Dutch and Swedish, both in 1978. The Dutch translation of The Adventures of Tom Bombadil came joint second, with the French in 1975, after the Swedish in 1972. However, I have no sources for the actual order of publication within those years in those cases and therefore have not added mention of these in the article itself. I would appreciate any information on the priority of publications in these cases (also for Mr Bliss, Danish, Dutch (by André Abeling), German and Swedish all in 1983). -- Mithrennaith 23:09, 16 August 2008 (EDT)
