Peter King served as make-up and hair designer for The Lord of the Rings (film series), for which he won the 2003 Academy Award for Best Makeup (alongside Richard Taylor). He reprised this role in The Hobbit (film series), for which he received a nomination at the 2012 Academy Awards.
