Eldalótë was the wife of Angrod. Their son was Orodreth, a lord of Nargothrond.[1]
Probably she joined the Exile of the Noldor to Beleriand,[note 1] so as Eldalótë's name was translated into Sindarin in later legend, she most probably joined the but her life is not mentioned in any of the tales of the Elder Days. In later legends she was remembered by her Sindarin name, Edhellos[1] .
Etymology
Eldalótë is Quenya for "Elven-flower", from Elda ("Elf") + lótë ("flower"). The Sindarin form of her name was Eðellos (spelled Edhellos).[1]

Notes
- ↑ This can be assumed by considering a note that Finarfin was "the only name of a Ñoldo who did not come into exile to receive a Sindarin form"; therefore as Eldalótë also had a Sindarin name, she was one of the Exiles.
