Mithrandir is the Sindarin name given to the wizard Gandalf. The name was most common among the Elves, Gondorians, and Dúnedain.

Meaning

Mithrandir translates to "Grey Pilgrim" or "Grey Wanderer" (mith "grey" + randir "pilgrim, wandering man".[1][2]
