Arathorn

Arathorn means either "Eagle King" in Sindarin (from aran "king" and thoron "eagle")¹, or "Steadfast King" (from aran "king" and thorn "steadfast")². It may refer to:

• Arathorn I, twelfth Chieftain of the Dúnedain.
• Arathorn II, fifteenth Chieftain of the Dúnedain and father of King Elessar.
