Curufinwë

(Redirected from Curufinwe)

Curufinwë was the father-name of the Noldorin Elf Fëanor. It consisted on the noun curu ("skill") attached to the name of Finwë.[1]

Fëanor was first called Finwion ("Finwë's son"), but when he soon showed his talent, it was changed to Curufinwë.[2] This name was also given to his son Curufin, whose Sindarin name is a condensed form. The short form was Curvo.[3]
