Fastred, with Folcred, was one of the twin sons of Folcwine of Rohan.

Upholding the Oath of Eorl, Fastred rode to the aid of Gondor with his brother, and both were slain in battle of the Haradrim.[1] They were laid to rest where they fell, at the crossings of Poros. Their burial mound was called the Haudh in Gwanûr, the Mound of the Twins.[2]

Fastred in Old English means "fast-rede, firm-counsel".[3]
