The Book of Lost Tales (disambiguation)
(Redirected from Lost Tales)
The Book of Lost Tales, or just the Lost Tales, is a term used to refer to the earliest stages of the legendarium, dating back to 1917. Christopher Tolkien chose it as the titles for the first two books of The History of Middle-earth:
- The Book of Lost Tales Part One, the earliest texts of what would become The Silmarillion, describing the earliest history of Arda.
- The Book of Lost Tales Part Two, describes events in Beleriand from The Silmarillion, most notably The Fall of Gondolin.
