Gelmir can refer to two Elves, who lived in the First Age.
- Gelmir of Nargothrond, an Elf captured by Morgoth's servants in the Dagor Bragollach
- Gelmir of Angrod's People, an Elven messenger of Círdan in the First Age
In earlier stages, the name was also used for:
- Arminas, the latter Gelmir's companion.
- The father of Fingolfin in the Lay of the Fall of Gondolin.
