Noldorin
ifant is a Noldorin word meaning "aged, having lived long, old (with no connotation of weakness)".[1][2][3]
Sindarin
ifant appears to retain the same meaning and form in Sindarin, as seen in the name Torhir Ifant.[3][4][5]
