Sir Peter Robert Jackson (October 31, 1961) is a New Zealand-born Academy Award-winning director, screenwriter and producer. He is one of the co-creators of Wētā FX, formerly known as Weta Digital. He directed, co-wrote and produced The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit trilogy.
