Agenda and outcome[edit source]

Item Responsible Member Discussion Point Outcome
#1 Mith Meeting opening. Ederchil, Gamling, Hyarion, KingAragorn, Mith, Mithrennaith and Morgan were all present. Amroth was missing.
#2 Mith Single/plural article names. It was agreed that we should continue to use plural article names.
#3 KingAragorn Does the meeting agree that I should contact Ted Nasmtih, Alan Lee, and John Howe to request permission to use their artwork? And, if so, where can we get a digital version of all of Alan Lee's stuff? As Hyarion believed that TG already had permission from Nasmith and Howe, it was agreed that KingAragorn should contact Alan Lee (possibly on Facebook).
#4 KingAragorn Any progress on TG email addresses? Hyarion announced that they were already set-up and he had yet to hand over the login information to Ederchil and Mith. Mith then requested that KingAragorn should have one too, as he would be contacting artists, and Hyarion agreed.
#5 KingAragorn I think we all need to be braver and start tackling the bigger, more popular articles. Why don't we have a "Countdown to The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey", wherein each month we go down the list of popular pages and collaborate on articles which relate to The Hobbit. So we would make perfect: Gandalf, Sauron (the Necromancer page needs to be merged with Sauron), The Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, Elrond, Thorin (still needs a bit of expansion in history section), Rivendell, Battle of Five Armies, Gollum, Mirkwood, Dol Guldur, and Thranduil. After some discussion it was unanimously accepted. It would begin on 1 December, 2011 and would end 1 December, 2012. The articles to tackle would be: Gandalf, Sauron (+the Necromancer), The Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, Elrond, Thorin, Rivendell, Battle of Five Armies, Gollum, Mirkwood, Dol Guldur, and Thranduil.
#6 Mith Adjournment discussions and meeting adjournment. It was agreed that we should be harsh on unreferenced new additions to articles, although some leniency would be shown to new editors. It was also agreed that when a Encylopedia of Arda copy was found, the addition of a "{{Rewrite}}" template was acceptable.
