University of Wisconsin Tolkien and Fantasy Society

The Tolkien Society at the University of Wisconsin-Madison was founded in September 1966 by Richard C. West. In January, 2001, the name was changed to the University of Wisconsin Tolkien and Fantasy Society. The journal of the Society (no longer published) was called Orcrist.
