Second Prophecy of Mandos[edit source]

The Second Prophecy of Mandos is a different issue of Dagor Dagorath.Unsigned comment by Sigurd (talk • contribs).

Yes, the article's currently a mess. I reverted the edit because the link went back to the same article. You can re-add the link, but you should make the article for the Second Prophecy of Mandos first.-- KingAragorn  talk  contribs  edits  email  16:34, 13 January 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Pardon, I still learning how to do that. I will write an article about that, as soon is possible.

Maps[edit source]

What happened to the maps by Merlin Douglas Larsen ? Smeagol 01:18, 2 July 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]

They're gone. If you can obtain permission from Merlin Douglas Larsen for TG to use the maps then they can be restored.-- KingAragorn  talk  contribs  edits  email  13:50, 6 July 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Add images[edit source]

Could someone add other two images in The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies; One image to portray Smaug attacking in Lake-town and another one portraying Azog and Thorin final duel.Unsigned comment by ChikCySunny (talk • contribs).

Inserting images[edit source]

Your majesty Elessar, I don't know how to insert images in the images. I have autism and making sure any reference to Tolkien in the web is correct and full is important to me. Please could you tell me how to do it? I only joined a few days ago, please be patient.

I'd like an editing account[edit source]

I've published The Hobbit in four languages and would like an account here so I don't have to edit anonymously. Michael Everson (Evertype)

Talk:The Hobbit (film series)/Mistakes[edit source]

look what I have written in Talk:The Hobbit (film series) about some mistakes. Unsigned comment by 85.72.247.184 (talk • contribs).

In case you dont know it, I already tried to add these two more links (the IMDB pages of the second and the third Hobbit film) in the infobox of The Hobbit (film series) but it didnt work because there is only one template parameter - imdb_id. imdb_id1, imdb_id2 and imdb_id3 don't exist in the template .I saw it.In the final page only one imdb_id appears. So I removed the IMDB file from the infobox of the page but User:Ederchil erased my editings and revert it back to the previous form.This is a mistake because, as I said to User:Ederchil, the existence of the IMDB file about the First Hobbit film is not reasonable because these pages is about the Hobbit film Project generally and not only for the First Hobbit film.Understood? Won't you say something about it;Won't you say your opinion;

I saw now your editing.Thank you.

Posters[edit source]

Yesterday, I saw that in the Category:Images of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies posters there is only one poster about the third Hobbit film. Why doesn't someone upload at least two more posters of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies on Tolkien Gateway; You can find many posters about the third Hobbit film on the Internet.I saw that the Category:Images of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug posters has 9 files, while the Category:Images of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey postershas 21 files. For this reason Category:Images of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies posters shouldn't only one file. I don't have ability to upload posters on Tolkien Gateway,(I think only administrators of Tolkien Gateway such us you and User:Mith can upload images on Tolkien Gateway), but you have this ability.

Problem[edit source]

User:Ederchil removes my editings in page The Hobbit (film series) about Thrain. I put the other two actors that portrayed him (Thomas Robins and Antony Sher) in the content People Involved-cast but he removes it.This is wrong. The page The Hobbit (film series), as the title says it, is a general page that talks about the The Hobbit film Project generally and not only for the First Hobbit film.In fact both actors are credited at the end of the the second Hobbit film.

Tolkien Daydreams[edit source]

Dear King Aragorn,

I am lucky enough to have a work of art listed here:

http://tolkiengateway.net/wiki/File:D.W._Luebbert_-_Tolkien_Daydreams.jpg

I have had a problem with downloading and unauthorized printing of this image from this site apparently. It was revealed to me by the concerned mother, about copyright law, of her son who printed this image out and used it for his school report. She sent me a photo of the school display, and though she asked for permission, it had already been done. My authorized gallery and print purchasing site is here:

http://lueb-art.pixels.com/featured/tolkien-daydreams-dave-luebbert.html

I even created a fifty percent discount for her to use to purchase an authorized print of my painting, so that I might receive at least a few cents from my work, but that has not yet seemed to happen. So, I believe that if this is happening even with copyright-aware persons, it must be happening regularly with those who do not care at all.

Would it be possible to direct visitors to my proper gallery web site instead of the present one listed that does not work? The correct operating site is:

http://lueb-art.pixels.com/featured/tolkien-daydreams-dave-luebbert.html

It is not possible to at least copy and save that image on that page.

For the image listed here at Tolkien Gateway, could the image be replaced with a lower pixel count version? I reduced my image to 400 pixels maximum which looks sufficient for display online, but I cannot find a way to attach it here. If you want to reduce the image yourself, that is fine. Also, if possible, please disable the "copy image" function if you can so that people cannot save the image. They can still print screen but I believe every effort to protect helps.

I would appreciate your help very much. My email address is: [email protected] if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Dave Luebbert

I think KingAragorn is not around at the moment so I have dealt with this. I've changed to a lower resolution image with watermark and the weblink you suggest. Unfortunately we can't stop people from copying our images (a constraint of our software) but I hope this helps. --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 12:16, 7 February 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]
