Third Age 2933 (abbreviated to T.A. 2933) is the 2933rd year of the Sun of the Third Age of Middle-earth. Third Age 2933 was also known as S.R. 1333 in Shire-reckoning.
Notable events in this year include:
- Chieftain of the Dúnedain Arathorn II is slain by an Orc-arrow.[1]
- Gilraen, wife of Arathorn II, takes their son Aragorn to Imladris.[2]
- Elrond receives him as foster-son and gives him the name Estel (Hope); his ancestry is concealed.[2]
- Birth of Paladin Took II, fourth child and first son of Adalgrim Took.[3]
