First Age 502

First Age 502 (abbreviated to F.A. 502) is the 502nd year of the Sun of the First Age of Middle-earth.
Notable events in this year include:
- Second Union of Elves and Men occurs in Gondolin, where Tuor weds Idril.[1][2]
- Húrin comes to Nargothrond and slays Mîm the petty-dwarf in revenge for his son's death. He then seizes the treasure of Glaurung and takes the Nauglamír.[3][4]
- Arriving to Menegroth, Húrin casts the Nauglamír at Thingol's feet. Realising from Melian that he has been acting evilly due to Morgoth's curse, Húrin leaves Doriath and throws himself into the Sea.[3][4]
- Thingol commissions the Dwarves of Nogrod to embed the Silmaril into the Nauglamír.[1][3]
