KYELEP is a Primitive Quendian root signifying "silver".[1][2][3]

The original entry in the Etymologies had "KYELEP- and TELEP- silver". Tolkien rewrote the section, changing to "KYÉLEP- (and TÉLEP-?) silver".[4]
