[edit] History
Erchirion was Imrahil's second child. He had an older brother, Elphir, and younger siblings Amrothos and Lothíriel.[1]
[edit] Etymology
The name is probably derived from ar- hîr (both meaning "noble lord") plus the frequent ending -ion "son of".
Alternatively, it could also derive from er-cirion meaning "lone shipman".[2]
